    Temora turbinata is a copepod in the Temoridae family. It is an epipelagic species, having been recorded in coastal waters around the world. It was first described in 1849 by American scientist James Dwight Dana . The female measures between 0.9 mm to 1.6 mm in length, while the male ranges between 1.3 and 1.5 mm.
    Temora turbinata has been recorded as the predominant species in mesozooplankton communities in various environments around the world, such as in Korea [ 23 ], in Taiwan [ 21 ], in Brazilian coastal waters [ 24 ], and in coastal and shelf waters [ 11 ], as well as tropical and subtropical areas in general [ 20, 25, 26, 27, 28 ].
