    In the wild, colonies of Favites Corals are flat, dome shaped, and massive. They can get to over 3 feet (1 m) in diameter. Some common names these corals are know for are Pineapple Coral, Moon Coral, Brain Coral, and Larger Star Coral. They are sometimes incorrectly called the Closed Brain Coral.
