The night shark (Carcharhinus signatus) is a species of requiem shark, in the family Carcharhinidae, found in the temperate and tropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Night Shark (Carcharhinus signatus) is a medium-sized (to 280 cm total length) requiem shark that occurs in the Northwest, Western Central, and Southwest Atlantic from New York, USA to Río Negro, Argentina, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Islands and in the Eastern Central and Southeast Atlantic from Senegal to Namibia.

The night shark, Carcharhinus signatus, is a mesopelagic, semi-oceanic shark species found only in the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the most frequently caught sharks in pelagic longline fisheries and is classified as Vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
