    The longfin catshark ( Apristurus herklotsi) is a catshark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western Pacific from Japan to the Philippines, and the East and South China Seas, and the Kyūshū - Palau Ridge, at depths between 530 and 865 m. Its length is up to 48 cm.
    The longfin sawtail catshark ( Galeus cadenati) is a rare, little-known species of catshark, part of the family Scyliorhinidae. Once thought to be a subspecies of the roughtail catshark ( G. arae) along with the Antilles catshark ( G. antillensis ), it inhabits deep water off the Caribbean coasts of Panama and Colombia.
    Longfin catsharks swim along the coasts of the western Pacific Ocean, with sightings in Japan, the East and South China Seas, the Kyūshū-Palau Ridge, and the Philippines. It is a bottom-dwelling shark with a depth range of 1,706-2,986 feet. Their diet consists of bony fish, crustaceans, and squids.
    There is very little known about longfin catsharks. They are oviparous, and the eggs are 5 to 6.8 cm long encased in thick shells. Females mature at about 44 cm long and can grow up to 48 cm long. The IUCN lists longfin catsharks as data deficient, and there are currently no conservation methods in place for this species.
