The Large-eyed Rabbitfish (Hydrolagus mirabilis) is a medium-sized deep-water chimaera (to at least 80 cm total length) known from a widespread distribution in the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Mediterranean Sea. It has been recorded from the continental slope at depths of 450–1,933 m, and generally >800 m.
