We have collected representatives of 12 of the 22 families of Amphipoda Hyperiidea while SCUBA diving. We have found that members of five families (Paraphronimidae, Lycaeopsidae, Pronoidae, Parascelidae and Platyscelidae) are associated only with siphonophores.
