    Cynarina Indophyllia, also known as the meat coral or doughnut coral, is a popular species of LPS (Large Polyp Stony) coral found in reef aquariums. Its vibrant color, unique texture, and ease of care make it a great addition to any reef tank. Appearance: Cynarina Indophyllia is a large, circular coral with a fleshy appearance.
    Indophyllia is a poorly known genus of large polyp stony coral which includes only one, very overlooked species, I. macassarenssis. There’s two reasons that Indophyllia is not at the top of many collectors wish list, starting with the competition it has from similar but more common LPS corals, such as Cynarina and Acanthophyllia .
    Since wild corals from Indonesia are currently closed to collection, there is very little chance to find Indophyllia in the aquarium hobby except the occasional specimen from Malaysia, or perhaps it could turn up when exports begin in Papua New Guinea.
    A beautiful orange/gold Indophyllia macassarensis living freely on the sand below the reef. Indophyllia is closely related to true donut corals, Acanthophyllia and the highly vessicled Cynarina, all of which occur in nontypical reef environments.
