Amphiporida is an extinct order of stromatoporoid sponges which lived from the mid-late Silurian (Wenlock or Ludlow epochs) to the Late Devonian (Famennian stage). Most amphiporids can be easily distinguished by their dendroid (bush-shaped) form, resembling a thicket of thin branches.
